According to officers who arrived at 1371 Kimberly Way SW, they discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound to the lower extremity.
Emergency responders were quick on the scene, with Grady EMS hustling the victim to the hospital, providing the urgent care needed for injuries that were non-life-threatening. Law enforcement began to investigate layers of the incident, revealing a narrative of a verbal dispute that spiraled out of control. "Preliminary Investigation indicates the victim was shot by a male suspect during a verbal dispute," detailed the Atlanta PD's statement, highlighting the victim and suspect were not strangers, but rather, seemed to be closely familiar with each other.
