
A blaze ripped through a Marietta townhome complex on Tuesday morning, causing extensive damage and leaving several residents without a home. As per FOX5 Atlanta, firefighters descended upon the scene in the 900 block of Whittington Parkway near Windy Hill Road and Austell Road, deploying multiple hose lines to combat the aggressive fire which threatened a multi-family structure in the Cobb County area.
The fire, which was contained by the swift response of the emergency crews, resulted in no injuries however it did inflict significant hardship on the locals with three units affected and up to 5 individuals displaced according to the early reports obtained by FOX5 Atlanta, crews were up against a large fire that engulfed both the front and back of the building, demonstrating the intensity of the flames they were battling.
Further details released by Atlanta News First put the number of those displaced at eight as three units within the Overton Place Townhomes suffered damage from the inferno; despite the potential for injury, all residents were reported safe.
