Brace yourselves, Miami -- a blustery day is on the menu with a side of cool temperatures. The city is grappling with stubborn winds that are threatening to spiral past 40 mph, thanks to a cocktail of weather advisories ranging from wind advisories to high surf warnings, according to a report by NBC Miami. Locals should be wary of Mother Nature's mood swings as the National Weather Service cautions of gusts as potent as 29 mph.
Gusting enough to make your hat a frisbee, the northwest wind isn't playing around, as it's forecast to hit highs of 20 mph, while the seas could bristle with waves peaking at 11 feet tonight. As the National Weather Service reports, the evening could see a slight chance of showers, and temperature lows around 55 degrees amid the blustery conditions.
The mercury will try to climb out of the 50s in the morning and is expected to tip-toe into the upper-60s by late Tuesday, despite the usual high for this season being about 77 degrees. The gusty conditions will start easing off midweek, with temperatures on a gradual upward trend, promising a return to the typical warmth by the week's end.
Looking ahead, the city's weather narrative will change its tone by the weekend. "Peering into the weekend, you’ll notice a touch more humidity, especially by Sunday," noted an NBC Miami forecast, anticipating a hint of mugginess preceding a warmer chapter with highs potentially flirting with the 80s.
For now, residents and visitors alike are advised to exercise caution, especially near coastal areas where the wind's fury could usher dangerous rip currents. Miami is set to persevere through a few days of wind-chafed cheeks before basking once again in its signature balmy breezes and sun-kissed skies.
