A northwest Miami-Dade community is grappling with the aftermath of a violent home invasion that left one man critically injured and his cherished dog stolen. The attack took place just before 4 a.m. on a supposedly tranquil residential block, jolting residents awake with the stark reality of gunfire and ensuing chaos. According to CBS News, police reported that two armed individuals forced their way into an apartment on the 700 block of NW 95th Street and shot the occupant multiple times before making off with various personal items.
The victim, now identified as James Farrow, managed to quickly be taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where he remains in critical condition. The theft of Farrow's English Bulldog, named Cleo, added a grievous insult to his life-threatening injuries. In a neighborhood considered to be quiet by its denizens, this incident has to certainly shake the sense of security they once felt.
