A school bus carrying children collided with several vehicles in Northwest Miami-Dade early Tuesday morning, leading to minor injuries and a flurry of emergency responses.
According to WSVN, the incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. in the vicinity of 79th Street and 17th Avenue. Five other cars were part of the crash that resulted in two adults being transported to a nearby hospital, with reported minor injuries. The children on the bus, while subjected to an early morning scare, were reported to be unharmed.
Details regarding the cause of the accident have not been fully disclosed as authorities continue their investigation. However, the event managed to clog the morning commute, drawing sightseers and causing delays as traffic diversified around the snarled crossroads.
Additional reporting by CBS News Miami highlighted that three individuals were taken to the hospital following the crash, which included a private school bus and three cars. None of the children on board the school bus, thankfully, sustained any injuries according to the police on the scene.
