
A motorcyclist was killed in Temecula yesterday following a collision with an SUV, authorities said. The fatal accident, which occurred near Rancho California Road and Margarita Road, prompted an investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.
According to reports, the incident took place on February 16, 2024, at approximately 4:44 p.m., when a vehicle emerging from a business turned left and struck the motorcycle. Sergeant William Pratt of the Riverside County Sheriff's Office said the investigation by Accident Investigators from the Southwest Sheriff’s Station is currently underway to determine the cause of the crash.
The name of the deceased motorcyclist has not been released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the SUV driver, who suffered minor injuries in the collision was sent to a local hospital for treatment. It remains unclear if impairment from alcohol or drugs was a factor in the tragic event.
Officials are urging anyone with information to reach out.
