Nong Lá Vietnamese Cafe Set to Open Third Los Angeles Location in Culver CitySource: Google Street View

Culver City is set to welcome a new flavor to its diverse culinary scene as the beloved Vietnamese cafe Nong Lá gears up to launch its third Los Angeles outpost. The family-run cafe, which pays homage to traditional Vietnamese cuisine, has found a new home at 9552 Washington Blvd, a locale previously occupied by restaurant Wise Sons, Toddickallen reported.

Behind Nong Lá's expansion are siblings Elaine and Victor Phuong, who swung open the doors of their original La Brea location in 2012, driven by the desire to bring their mother's cherished recipes to the public table. As the duo prepares for their winter opening, they plan to serve up a menu true to the Vietnamese staples that Nong Lá's existing clientele relishes, amid the fierce competition of the buzzing Los Angeles food scene, they're banking on their signature offering of fresh, free-range, and premium quality ingredients to help them make the cut.

"Our phở features a clean, light broth and we proudly use fresh rice noodles," boasts the restaurant's website, emphasizing the siblings' commitment to quality and authenticity. Nong Lá's La Brea and Sawtelle locations serve up a gamut of traditional dishes, from the savory bún and crisp bánh mì, to their flagship phở, loved for its light and aromatic broth.

After the shuttering of Wise Sons, Nong Lá is poised to fill the void left on Washington Blvd, bringing its distinct Vietnamese flavors to a neighborhood no stranger to culinary turnover and tastes that span the globe, with the Phuong siblings confident that their take on time-honored dishes will resonate well with the local clientele and assert Nong Lá's commitment to traditional Vietnamese cuisine, they will strive to consistently deliver meticulously crafted dishes, seven days a week, from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., as per their other locations, Whatnowlosangeles states.
