
A domestic dispute in North Houston took a violent turn, landing a woman in the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and her husband behind bars on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office were summoned to the scene at the 17700 block of Feathers Landing Drive, where they discovered the victim and swiftly transported her for medical care, the office detailed in a Facebook post.
The incident, which occurred on February 27, escalated to gunfire when Neri Flores allegedly unloaded multiple rounds into the lower extremities of his wife, as per the investigation findings. Despite the chaos and the severity of the situation, deputies managed to detain and subsequently identify Flores as the sole suspect in the shooting, according to Constable Herman's statement.
Flores was arrested and is currently held at the Harris County Jail, his bond has been reportedly set at a quarter of a million dollars, the precise court details are pending, "Neri Flores was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond was set at $250,000.00 out of the 177th District Court." the Constable Mark Herman affirmed in a statement on social media.
The investigation is ongoing as officials continue to piece together the events leading to the violent altercation. The victim's condition, meanwhile has not been disclosed.
