A routine traffic stop in North Houston netted more than just a citation when deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office nabbed a wanted man behind the wheel on February 9. Nicholas Duhon was driving in the 10000 block of W Sam Houston Pkwy N when he was pulled over, officials said.
During the stop, deputies conducted a standard check only to discover that Duhon was wanted on an open misdemeanor warrant. The charge: Failure to Stop and Give Information. It was an astute observance in a day that's work for law enforcement, with a routine procedure uncovering a suspect they were not even hunting for.
Constable Mark Herman took to social media, where "Nicholas Duhon was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant," as detailed in a Facebook post. A trail of missteps led Duhon to this moment, encapsulated by the clink of handcuffs and the cold reality of legal accountability. The bond for Duhon's release was not a king's ransom, set at a modest $500.00 by County Court 11.
