Tragedy struck earlier today in Lauderhill, where a double shooting claimed the life of one man and left another wounded. The gunfire erupted around 3:35 a.m. in a parking lot on the 4500 block of North University Drive, the site of a grim discovery for Lauderhill police as they responded to the initial distress call, as Local 10 News reported.
Upon their arrival, officers found a man shot multiple times, unresponsive on the ground, he was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center, however, his wounds were fatal, according to WSVN. Shortly after the discovery, a second victim reached Florida Medical Center on his own, police said, having suffered from a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening.
The details surrounding the shooting remain fuzzy, but the Lauderhill Police Department's Criminal Investigation Department alongside the Crime Scene Investigation units are digging into the case.
