A deadly early morning shooting in Downtown Seattle has resulted in one man's death and left two others wounded, in a violent episode that has sparked a homicide investigation, police said Sunday.
The gunfire erupted shortly before 2 a.m. on the 100 block of South Washington Street, where officers arrived to find a man and a woman with gunshot injuries. Police swiftly provided aid to quickly transport the victims to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition, according to the Seattle Police Department's blotter.
The third victim, an adult male, was initially raced to Virginia Mason Medical Center by a female companion. He was thereafter transferred to Harborview Medical Center, only to tragically succumb to his injuries. The Seattle Police's Homicide Unit is actively directing the investigation to unwrap the events that led to the shooting, with the suspect still at large.
Homicide Unit detectives are leading the investigation and are working to determine the exact circumstances leading up to the shooting, as per the Seattle Police Department. At present, there seems to be no clear description of a suspect, keeping neighbors on edge and hungry for answers.
