Phoenix police are on the hunt for a suspect following two separate armed robberies plaguing local businesses. In the early hours of January 20, a man targeted a Circle K store near 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road, as captured by new surveillance footage released by Silent Witness. The suspect made a threatening gesture with a knife at an employee after grabbing cigarette cartons and fled the scene before he could be apprehended, ABC15 reported.
The elusive man, yet to be identified by authorities, is described as Hispanic or Native American, aged between 20 and 30, with a height ranging from 5'4" to 5'6", and weighing roughly 150 pounds. In a similar vein, another incident has drawn police attention where an unidentified Hispanic man, after ordering at a McDonald's on Central and Southern avenues, revealed a knife and purloined cash from the register on the morning of July 23, 12 News reported.
Audaciously going behind the counter after the register was opened by the employee, the suspect from the McDonald's robbery stands taller at 5'8'' and heavier at 165 lbs, with an estimated age of 25. In both instances, the suspects remain at large, with Silent Witness offering up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in the Circle K robbery case. Phoenix police are urging anyone with information on either of the suspects to come forward.
