An educator from Plano, Texas, has been nabbed on charges of sending sexually explicit messages to a minor, authorities said. Jacob Thomas Allred, 32, was arrested after an investigation by the Plano Police Department into allegations made on January 8th that he had been grooming a child.
According to the Plano Texas Police Department, Allred, a resident of Blue Ridge and at the time a Great Lakes Academy educator on Custer Road, engaged in inappropriate communications of a sexual nature with a student at the school. Authorities said that during the investigation, details emerged corroborating the complaint against Allred.
Allred was taken into custody with the help of the Highland Village Police Department after a warrant was issued by the District Court in Collin County. The Plano Police’s Special Victims Unit is spearheading the ongoing investigation into this incident and believes there could be more victims.
