
Authorities are urging witnesses to come forward following a deadly traffic accident in Plano. The crash, which occurred on the southbound service road of US75 at W Park Blvd, claimed at least one life. The Plano Police Department posted an appeal on their social media account, asking for anyone with information to contact the traffic investigator at 972-208-8067.
In the immediate aftermath of the accident on January 30 at around 1:30 p.m., two of the three lanes were closed, causing significant delays for motorists. The closures were necessary as the Traffic Unit was on the scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident. The Plano Police Department noted that lanes were expected to remain shut for a couple of hours, according to the Plano Texas Police Department.
The identity of the individual who perished in the collision is yet to be confirmed by the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office. As the cause of the crash continues under investigation, the Plano Police Department has not released further details on the possible factors leading up to the tragedy.
