The Portland Police Bureau is on the hunt for a serial armed robber thought to be behind a string of dispensary heists across the city. Law enforcement officials have identified 43-year-old Cory J. Jackson as the suspect linked to at least five robberies, according to a statement from the bureau.
Authorities detailed Jackson's alleged crime spree, beginning with an April 25, 2023, incident where he is suspected to have used a firearm to swiftly rob a dispensary on Northwest Nicolai Street. Subsequent armed robberies on Southeast Cesar Chavez Boulevard, Northeast Sandy Boulevard, Southeast 28th Avenue, and Southeast Johnson Creek Boulevard followed, with the latest occurring on September 6, 2023.
The Portland Police have voiced the urgency of capturing the suspect due to the dangerous nature of his crimes. "Jackson is a suspect in numerous felony crimes in Washington, Arizona, and Nevada," the bureau emphasized, indicating a cross-state pattern of violent behavior that amplifies the stakes of his prompt apprehension.
Jackson has been described as a Caucasian male, standing 5'10" and weighing around 170 lbs. To elude capture, he is known to disguise himself using wigs to dramatically change his appearance. A distinguishing feature is the tattoo on his knuckles, spelling out "HOME SICK." Individuals with information on Jackson’s whereabouts are encouraged to swiftly contact the authorities.
