A woman linked to a January shooting in Portland's Kenton neighborhood has been slapped with attempted murder charges. Sixty-two-year-old Annette Oliver was on the lam until cops collared her on a warrant last week, authorities said.

The incident, which wounded a man Oliver had reportedly dated, unfolded on a chilly evening on January 16, just before the 6:40 p.m. patrol cars swarmed the 7600 Block of North Interstate Avenue. There, they found a victim in dire straits, his leg seriously injured by gunfire, the Portland Police Bureau reported. First responders hustled to apply a tourniquet to the man's severely damaged leg, before whisking him away for hospital treatment.

Oliver's past connection to the victim tipped off the SVU detectives, who took over the case with the notion that it wasn't a random act of violence. Closing the net on Oliver on February 16, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force finally apprehended her in Gresham, and she was promptly booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center.

The collar came with charges of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon, times two. Along with the arrest, police say they’ve nabbed the firearm alleged to have been used in the shooting, the Portland Police Bureau confirmed.
