A tragic conclusion emerged in the case of Jeannie Enyeart, a woman previously declared missing and endangered, when her body was discovered last Thursday in a vehicle in Skamania County, turning the investigation towards homicide.
Medical examiners on Monday stated that the woman found inside the vehicle died of homicidal violence, and while they have not officially identified her yet, detectives have little doubt that the deceased is indeed Enyeart, the Portland Police Bureau reported.
Following the grizzly findings, Enyeart's fiancé, 33-year-old Jon French of Portland, was subsequently arrested on Monday and now faces charges of Second Degree Murder and Abuse of a Corpse in the Second Degree, per the details provided by the officials. He was booked at the Multnomah County Detention Center pending further investigation.
