In a routine crackdown on reckless driving, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office made an arrest during a traffic stop on the Katy Freeway. The driver, Jesenia Garcia, showed clear symptoms of being under the influence when deputies pulled her over in the 15000 block, this past February 11. Upon further examination, a history of two prior convictions for Driving While Intoxicated came to light.
A Standardized Field Sobriety Test confirmed the deputies' suspicions, that Garcia was inebriated as she manned the wheel. Despite her past encounters with the law for similar offenses, she once again found herself in the grip of an old habit. "Jesenia Garcia was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Her bond was set at $30,000.00 out of the 338th District Court." declared Constable Mark Herman in a statement.
Constable Herman's office provides details of the incident via their official Facebook page, aligning the public with the ongoing efforts to curb impaired driving.
