Riverside County Unveils Innovative One-Stop Approach to Streamline Social Services in Temecula and BeyondSource: Google Street View

Riverside County is changing the game in social services with its new Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) model, a one-stop-shop approach that's delivering care across the board, from health and housing to job support. The county is making waves with this innovative method by providing relief to its citizens through a single point of contact for multiple safety-net services, simplifying the process of getting help.

In an attempt to streamline assistance programs and resources, William Kipp, a veteran in need of various services, landed at the Temecula Quad one of the county's pilot sites for the ISD program. After navigating the registration process and filling out a Whole Person Health Score assessment, Kipp was fast-tracked to receive immediate support – a stark contrast to the often circuitous and disheartening journey many face when seeking help.

"As a vet, it's hard sometimes to ask for help," Kipp told Riverside County News. "I came in needing assistance, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that my needs were understood, addressed, and met with earnestness." Chuck Washington, the Third District Supervisor and Board Chair, extolled the ISD program's virtues, emphasizing the county's dedication to efficiency and compassion.

The Temecula Quad brings together myriad county departments including Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Community Action Partnership, First 5, and Office on Aging. This consolidation of services, aiming to eliminate red tape for those like Kipp, has already borne fruit less than a year since its inception at the Riverside University Health System - Jurupa Valley Community Health Center.

Riverside County is working towards the ambitious goal of providing a no-wrong-door experience through its ISD sites, ensuring that residents have a frictionless journey toward the aid they require. Spread across the county, these seven pilot ISD locations are open for appointments, signaling a new chapter of public service within the county.
