
A 33-year-old Saginaw resident was fatally shot in broad daylight over the weekend, marking the city's fourth homicide in 2024, authorities said. The victim, identified as Dalance Stephens, was found with multiple gunshot wounds around 2:15 p.m. on Saturday near the intersection of Julius and Webber streets. Despite the life-saving attempts by emergency crews, Stephens was declared dead after being transported to a local hospital, according to reports from WJRT.
As of earlier today, investigators had not made any arrests, nor did they release information about potential suspects or the circumstances leading to the shooting. Trying to bring the perpetrator to justice, the Saginaw Police Department and Michigan State Police are investigating the tragic incident, with officials urging anyone with information to step forward, reported WNEM.
