San Antonio residents can look forward to a mix of cloudy skies and sunshine with fluctuating temperatures over the next few days. According to the National Weather Service, today will see a transition from mostly cloudy conditions to increasingly sunny skies, with a high expected around 71 degrees and a south wind picking up between 7 and 10 mph. Tonight's forecast indicates increasing clouds with a low settling around 56 degrees, as the south-southeast wind persists at a gentle 6 to 10 mph.
The weather pattern will remain dynamic with Friday introducing patchy fog before 8 a.m., eventually giving way to a mostly cloudy day and a high again near 71 degrees. Wind will remain steady from the south, fluctuating between 6 and 11 mph, with potential gusts reaching up to 18 mph. High humidity is expected, though KSAT reports current levels at a muggy 86%.
Severe weather is on the horizon for Friday night, as the National Weather Service projects a 90% chance of precipitation, including possible thunderstorms and a low temperature to hit around 57 degrees. Winds are expected to transition, gusting as high as 18 mph in a westerly direction.
Fortunately, the weekend will bring respite as KSAT's weather forecast indicates a significant shift, with Saturday promising mostly sunny skies and windy conditions with high temperatures cresting near 72 degrees. Along with the clear skies, winds will be strong from the west-northwest, reaching up to 16 mph, with gusts potentially as high as 23 mph. Washing away the stormy remnants, Sunday will continue the sunny trend with the breeze and a high near 69 degrees.
The following week appears to offer similar conditions with sunshine and clear skies dominating the weather. Temperatures will hover in the mid-60s to low-70s during the daytime throughout the week, with evenings dipping into the 40s. San Antonians will see little chance of precipitation during this period, with the exception of a potential stray shower on Thursday, February 8th, as reported by KSAT with a mere 10% probability.
