Fire crews in San Antonio heroically battled a house inferno on the Southwest side yesterday evening, ensuring the safety of the neighborhood with skill and speed. The blaze, which broke out around 6:30 p.m. near the 150 block of Mohawk Street, tore through the front of a home but was swiftly brought under control by the local firefighters. Despite the challenges posed by heavy traffic and restricted access, the team was able to quickly contain the fire, FOX San Antonio reported.
According to the San Antonio Fire Department, the impacted portion of the house consisted mainly of a porch and living area, suffering the most damage. However, thanks to the prompt response of the responders, the rest of the residence remains intact. Authorities have not yet pinpointed the cause of the fire, but are looking to thoroughly investigate. The homeowner has been secured temporary accommodations, as firefighters remain on the scene to closely monitor for any potential hotspots.
The San Antonio community is breathing a collective sigh of relief after what could have been a devastating event. With no casualties and the greater structure preserved.
