The fire was reported in the 5400 block of Fredericksburg, near its junction with Chambers Road around 7:30 a.m., according to local reports. Flames escalated, thrusting embers skyward, as firefighters fought the uphill battle to bring the conflagration under control. A team from KENS 5, happening upon the scene, captured video footage of the fire with flames piercing the air, igniting urgency amongst the first responders.
No injuries have been reported about the fire and firefighters effectively extinguished the blaze before it could threaten neighboring structures.
