Earlier today, a San Antonio homeowner reportedly shot a man, suspected of attempting to steal his car. The confrontation occurred in the 6900 block of Caribou Creek near Gibbs Sprawl Road, according to KENS5. The homeowner, hearing the commotion of his vehicle being broken into, went outside to confront the suspects, firing a hail of bullets at least 14 rounds.
The homeowner's defensive response resulted in one of the suspects being wounded in both legs. After the encounter, the injured party along with another suspect, fled the scene in a red vehicle, as reported by FOX San Antonio. Shortly thereafter, the wounded suspect nonchalantly walked into a Baptist neighborhood hospital, located on the 6400 block of Woodlake Parkway, where he subsequently collapsed from his injuries.
Local authorities found the aforementioned red car abandoned in a parking lot near the healthcare facility. Although the injured individual was promptly taken to BAMC for medical treatment, his accomplice remains at large. No other injuries from this incident have been reported, and the police continue their search for the second suspect. This matter has escalated to an active investigation by San Antonio Police, who are piecing together the specifics of the incident, and seeking to apprehend the accomplice.
