A family dispute in San Antonio has resulted in a man facing serious charges for violence directed at his own mother. Edwin M. Lipsey III, 44, is accused of taking hold of a firearm during the confrontation and using it to threaten his mother's life.
According to reports by Fox San Antonio, the incident erupted after an early morning altercation on January 28 involving another family member. During the altercation, it is alleged that Lipsey requested a gun from his in-law, who handed it to him, and subsequently, he pinned his mother to the ground with his knees.
"If you do not shut up, I'm going to f****** kill you," Lipsey allegedly threatened, as per the court affidavit. Following the threat, Lipsey vacated the premises before police could apprehend him. However, authorities later arrested him and now faces a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
MSN reports indicate that Lipsey is currently held at Bexar County Jail, with a bond set at $40,000. Awaiting his pre-hearing scheduled for late February, Edwin Lipsey remains in custody as the case continues to unfold.
