In a harrowing ordeal that has emerged from San Antonio, a man stands accused of carrying out a grievous act of violence against a defenseless child. Andrew Bymun, 38, find himself behind bars, charged with the super aggravated sexual assault of a 5-year-old girl, as reported by FOX San Antonio.
The unsettling details reveal that the suspect was cohabitating with the victim and her mother when the alleged incident occurred. When the mother returned home on Feb. 19 with her boyfriend, she was faced with a scene that no parent should ever witness – her young daughter, destitute of her pants. In a conversation with her mother, the girl disclosed that Bymun had "laid on top of her" and sexually assaulted her. This disclosure prompted the mother to immediately report the assault to the authorities.
A closer examination of Bymun's history, obtained by KSAT, unearths a disturbing precedent. Court records indicate Bymun's past is marred by a similar charge — aggravated sexual assault of a child, which was later refilled as sexual assault. His guilty plea for the offense saw him spend nearly ten years in prison.
Bymun was booked into Bexar County Jail on Thursday morning, with the court setting his bond at a staggering $250,000. A forensic examination was conducted, complemented by an interview where the assault was described by the young victim in her own words.
