San Antonio police are desperately scouring the city to apprehend a band of teens who they say brutally assaulted an elderly woman on Valentine’s Day, stripping her of her dignity and her dollars. According to KENS 5, the attack, captured on video, shows the moment where the suspects viciously yank the victim's shirt before pulling her to the cold, hard ground.
Detectives are on the hunt, looking to bring to justice these teens who cruelly stole several hundred dollars after forcefully dragging the woman down on West Cesar Chavez Boulevard and South San Dario Avenue. The footage, released in aid of the investigation, left officials and the community shocked as it shows the group sprint away, abandoning the injured victim in the street.
The SAPD detailed that the force of the teens' actions was such that the elderly woman hit her head on the sidewalk. In a statement obtained by FOX San Antonio, the robbers are described as four juveniles who committed the heartless act in broad daylight, shaking the sense of safety in the local community.
