Seattle Parks and Recreation is rallying the troops for community input on the Ward Springs Park play area makeover on February 24 from 12 to 2 p.m., when the public gets to chime in on three proposed play setup sketches at the Ward Springs Pump House, revealed Seattle Parks and Recreation.
Seattle Parks and Recreation's chief, AP Diaz, has been paving the way for upgrades and spicing up the play space but also ensuring every kiddo can join in the fun, the equipment is in desperate need of a safety and accessibility tune-up according to the ADA's tough standards, and the locals' two cents could mean the difference between a good time and a great one, this is a chance for the Seattle playbook to include everyone, no matter their ability. In a statement obtained by Seattle Parks and Recreation, Diaz emphasized, “The Ward Springs Play Area Renovation Project will replace the existing play equipment with new equipment that meets current safety and accessibility standards as part of our efforts to create a more welcoming and accessible play area,”
