A senior citizen's evening bike ride ended in tragedy yesterday when he was struck and killed by a motorist on the Southeast Side. The 65-year-old was hit while crossing a busy road, the San Antonio Police Department said.
Just before 5 p.m. yesterday, the accident occurred along Graf Road and South Presa Street, after the man was riding his bicycle from a nearby trail. Attempting to navigate the street, which was described as 'busy,' the man tragically lost his life in the collision, according to the police.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, where officials are piecing together the moments leading up to the crash.
