
An early morning altercation in Solana Beach took a violent turn Wednesday when one man was repeatedly stabbed during a dispute. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, deputies were dispatched just after 2:30 a.m. to the 300 block of Corto Street, where they found the wounded man.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was located with multiple stab wounds and was taken to a hospital in what was described as critical condition, officials said. The Sheriff's Department stated two men had been arguing before the confrontation escalated, with one aggressor, identified as Trenton Lancashire, allegedly using a knife on the other. Lancashire, 21, reportedly fled and took refuge in a nearby residence, before being apprehended by deputies and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The Sheriff's Department's release indicates that the situation is being handled as an ongoing investigation. Local authorities are urging anyone with information on the incident to step forward.
