
Earlier today, a man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a Bank of America branch in Boston, sparking a significant police response. According to a report by NBC Boston, officers were dispatched to the bank located at 175 Federal St. at approximately 1:41 a.m. following reports of a break-in.
Upon arrival, Boston police were greeted by the sight of a smashed window on the building. A heavy police presence subsequently surrounded the area. Found barricading himself inside a bank closet, the suspect was arrested after a window was shattered.
The culprit was identified as 44-year-old Antoine Washington, who officials say took refuge in a closet within the bank premises. In a response operation, police were able to gain entry and apprehend Washington. Details were furnished by a report from WCVB, confirming the suspect's capture.
Washington is now facing several charges pertaining to the early morning incident. Inside a Boston Municipal Court, he is scheduled for appearance later in the day. The specifics of the charges he faces were not immediately disclosed.
