A would-be thief has been caught red-handed trying to burglarize mailboxes in a quiet suburban enclave known as Fairfield Villages. Sergeant Pleytez and the officers with Constable Mark Herman’s Office apprehended the adult male suspect after he was spotted to casually breach the privacy of unsuspecting residents along 15000 Mason Road.
According to an announcement on the official Facebook page of Precinct 4, the male perpetrator was not only attempting to steal mail but was also found in possession of a controlled substance. His intent to disrupt the daily ritual of retrieving one's correspondence was thwarted as law enforcement intervened promptly.
The charges against the suspect are severe, reflective of the breach of trust implicit in such an invasion. He faces charges including Theft of Mail, Unlawful Use of Criminal Instrument, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
