
A teenage boy, aged 17, was found with a gunshot wound in a River North business establishment, now identified as a hotel room in Chicago's Near North Side. The shooting occurred in the early hours of Sunday.
The victim was discovered around 1:14 a.m. on the 18th floor of the Homewood Suites, located at the 0-100 block of East Grand Avenue, reported Chicago Tribune. He suffered from a gunshot injury to his lower left abdomen. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear as the teenager refused to cooperate with law enforcement at the scene.
Following the incident, the unnamed teen was rushed to Northwestern Hospital where he is said to be in critical condition. Authorities have confirmed that thus far, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
