Since January 19, residents in the vicinity of 10600 N. RM 620 have had access to the prestigious brand's cars and SUVs, as per Community Impact.
Meanwhile, in a move illustrative of the growing electric vehicle trend in urban centers Darcars Automotive Group has sealed a deal to set a new standard for eco-conscious driving with the launch of the first downtown D.C. showroom for Volvo's electric vehicle brand, Polestar, adding to the city’s sparse lineup of auto showrooms amid soaring retail space costs. The almost 2,900-square-foot showroom is slated for an end-of-the-year grand opening, sporting not only prime street frontage but aligning with the building's green architecture in a marked statement of sustainability, according to the Washington Business Journal.
Offering vehicles ranging in price from around $45,000 to upwards of $150,000, Polestar aims to solidify its presence in the luxury EV market with the new showroom featuring environmentally conscious design elements such as a living green wall in the lobby, Low-E insulated glazed curtainwall, and solar shades, attracting customers not only with high-end vehicles but also with a commitment to sustainable practices that echoes their brand's ethos. Though representatives for Darcars were not reachable for comment, the Washington Business Journal highlighted the building's synergy with Polestar's values, quoting Harrell, "There’s a mission alignment with the sustainability piece of it, and it's a clean space, and it's a high-end, quality, luxury car."
