
An early morning altercation led to a woman being shot in the buttocks this past weekend in Atlanta. The Atlanta Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to Grady Hospital following a gunshot incident. A 34-year-old woman had self-transported to the hospital for treatment after suffering a gunshot wound. The incident occurred on February 24, at roughly 1:38AM, the police were alerted by medical staff when the victim arrived, according to details released by the Atlanta Police Department.
The shooting took place at 2507 Donald Lee Holloway Parkway NW, where the victim was engaged in a verbal dispute with a known female, which quickly escalated. This disagreement ended with the suspect brandishing a firearm and shooting the victim. The female suspect fled the scene promptly after the incident. Investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit have taken over the inquiry, seeking to piece together the events that led to this violent encounter.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of either the victim or the suspect. The condition of the victim is also currently unknown.
