The Abington Police Department is reaching out to the public in search of a missing 40-year-old woman, Daniel "Fae" Barbone, who vanished without a trace last week. Barbone was reported missing after being last seen in Williamstown, Mass., on March 7, according to officials.
Adding to the mystery, Barbone's black Ford Fiesta, bearing the Massachusetts license plate 259TB2, was found parked on a street in Augusta, Maine, that same day, as the police reported. The details of how her vehicle ended up approximately 180 miles away from her last known location remain unclear. Nevertheless, the discrepancy between Barbone's last sighting and the location of her car, has raised concerns for her safety.
Described as a white female standing at an uncommonly tall 6’2” and weighing around 180 lbs., she has brown hair and blue eyes. The outfit she was wearing when she was last seen included a light blue sweater and black leggings. Barbone is said to frequent the Island Pond Campsite located in the secluded expanses of the North Maine Woods, a detail that might give some direction to the search effort, as the authorities indicated.
