Alleged Counterfeit Currency Users Apprehended After Burlington Store Theft in Harris CountySource: Facebook/Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4

Two alleged counterfeit currency bandits were nabbed by law enforcement after going on a shopping spree at a Burlington store in northwest Harris County, authorities said. Jatoya West and De'ondre Moore were accused of using phony bills to purchase about $1,000 worth of goods before attempting to make their getaway.

After being alerted by the store’s loss prevention staff, deputies conducted a traffic stop and, upon finding the stolen merchandise in their vehicle, took West and Moore into custody. The duo was later processed and faced charges for the heist, with their bond set surprisingly low at just $100 each.

"Jatoya West and De'ondre Moore were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft. Their bond was set at $100.00 each out of County Court 12," Constable Mark Herman announced in a statement following the incident. The merchandise, wrapped in the cloak of normality, was found alongside the suspects, providing tangible evidence of the deceitful transaction that had taken place.
