A student from Aloha High School is in hot water after being nabbed by the Washington County Sheriff's Office for alleged drug peddling and packing illegal heat, law enforcement said yesterday. The suspect's trouble began when deputies, working alongside the Westside Interagency Narcotics Team and detectives from the Investigations Division, picked up on the kid flashing stacks of cash, drugs, and guns on social media.

A March 12 traffic stop turned chase on the 1200 block of SW 163rd Ave led to the apprehension of the swaggering high schooler; the deputy's pursuit ended with the suspect being caught and a cache that reads like a drug dealer starter kit was seized - a "ghost" gun, spare mags, bullets, scales, suspected nose candy, weed, liquid Promethazine, a blade, used casings, and loot.

Following the bust, the youth was dragged to the Washington County Juvenile Services Building and hit with a deck of charges that include unlawful possession of a firearm and commercial drug offenses, as reported by a Sheriff's Office press release.

Commander Tim Tannenbaum of the Washington County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division praised his team's takedown saying, "We remain committed to ensuring the safety of our community, especially our youth, by aggressively tackling drug-related crimes and the possession of illegal firearms," the Sheriff's Office stated in a release. The Sheriff's Office also put out a call to arms to parents, teachers, and locals to keep their eyes peeled and report any fishy business linked to drugs or guns.
