
An Athens man is fighting for his life after his son allegedly stabbed him numerous times in an early morning attack, local authorities report. The Athens-Clarke County Police Department (ACCPD) were called to the scene on Cardinal Creek Lane before dawn yesterday, where they found the father with multiple stab wounds, as WSB-TV reported.
The officers gave first aid to the critically injured man until medical personnel arrived and transported him to the hospital. The son, identified as Caleb Allen, age 20, had reportedly left the scene in a vehicle after the stabbing. As relayed by the police to surrounding counties, Jackson County law enforcement later found Allen with the vehicle and detained him, bringing him back to Clarke County. In the vehicle that was located by the Jackson County law enforcement, they found the son and brought him back to Clarke County.
Allen is now facing a slew of charges including Family Violence Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, obstructing a 911 call, and Theft by Taking, as per FOX 5 Atlanta. The motive behind the alleged attack remains unclear though the investigation is ongoing.
