The meet and greet is scheduled to take place at the Permitting and Development Center Events Center, located at 6310 Wilhelmina Delco Drive, beginning at 6 p.m., with doors swinging open half an hour earlier. The event promises not just face-time with the potentials, but also a discussion led by none other than Austin's seasoned news anchor Judy Maggio, as reported by the City of Austin.
For those unable to make it in person, the showdown will be broadcast live on ATXN and available in Spanish on ATXN3. The selections made during the event will be drawn directly from these community submissions, as confirmed by the City of Austin.
Post-event, Austinites will have their chance to weigh in on the candidates through a feedback survey. Their input is set to play a pivotal role in guiding the City Council's ultimate decision. Ahead of the Council's private interviews with Broadnax and Hensley on March 26, both candidates will round off the eventful day, March 25, mingling with a more official crowd—City management, department chiefs, public safety unions, and representatives from the local AFSCME chapter, as noted by the City of Austin.
