Cheryl-Anns' Bakery, a staple in South Brookline, has finally reopened its doors. The beloved Kosher and Pareve establishment, shuttered since its scorching farewell in December 2021 due to a fire, is now back to business as of March 15th. According to a blog post on Boston Restaurants, the bakery announced its comeback with a mix of jubilation and relief, stating on Facebook, "What just happened, you asked? Cheryl-Ann's' got approved to open this Friday morning March 15th !!!…lots of happy tears over here….come See us …open at 7 am."
For those with a nostalgia for noshing on freshly baked challah or biting into a rich piece of babka, Cheryl-Ann has been a missing piece in South Brookline's culinary puzzle. Established by sisters Cheryl, Ann, and their mother Joan in 1985, the bakery's roots run as deep as its recipes. With origins harking back to their grandfather's bakery, rubber spatulas have been passed down through this family with as much care as the food they serve, a sentiment echoed on the bakery's website.
Located at 1010 West Roxbury Parkway.
