The troubling pattern has emerged in the 4th District, specifically on the 7600 block of S. Essex, with incidents occurring on February 18 and March 9.
The perpetrators, three Black males donning black and tan hooded sweatshirts, have been utilizing the anonymity afforded by social media to cloak their criminal activities. They are reported to approach victims on foot, feigning guidance towards the supposed sale location, only to swiftly to unveil their true intentions in secluded alleys. Descriptions provided by the alert further note that each suspect was armed with a handgun, elevating the stakes of these interactions with a lethal threat.
