
The Chicago Police Department is urgently seeking the public's assistance in locating Willie Fortenberry, a 66-year-old man reported missing since March 11th. Mr. Fortenberry, who suffers from dementia, was last seen on the 2400 block of N. Central Ave. He is described as a Black male, 5’9″ tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair. The concern for his safety is particularly acute because of his medical condition.
When last seen, he was wearing a blue baseball hat, gray shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes. The police have classified him as a high-risk missing person. Members of the community are being asked to actively keep their eyes open and to immediately contact the Area 5 detectives at 312 746-6654 with any information that might help to quickly reunite him with his family. A statement released by the Chicago Police details his physical attributes and the clothing he was last known to be wearing.
Locals are encouraged to scour their neighborhoods and to thoroughly check any places where someone could seek shelter or where Mr. Fortenberry could have possibly walked to after leaving the vicinity of North Central Avenue.
