Reflecting the team's anticipation, Phillies PA announcer Dan Baker told 6abc, "We can't wait to celebrate the start of the 2024 season."
The anniversary festivities kick off on April 12, exactly two decades after the park's inaugural game, with Randy Wolf, the starting pitcher from that day, returning for first-pitch honors. Fans can relive some of the park's history and maybe nab a piece of it for themselves with a Phillies Charities, Inc. 20th Anniversary Online Auction which, according to PHL17, features signed memorabilia available from March 25 to April 7.
Adding to the convenience of game day, "More MLB’s Go-Ahead Entry lanes will be welcoming fans," as was mentioned in a report by PHL17, which debuted last season but are now expanding to more gates. In a nod to inclusivity, the Phillies have showcased their consideration for fans of all needs by installing an adult-size changing table for individuals with disabilities and their caregivers.
For those who attend with a touch of style, however, be sure to note the new bag policy that restricts non-clear bags including backpacks and draw-string bags. In a practical maneuver designed to increase safety but surely to cramp some styles, fans are now only allowed to bring clutch purses, fanny packs, medical or diaper bags of specific dimensions into the stadium.
