Dallas Cowboys star Dak Prescott is on the offensive, filing a lawsuit against a woman who accused him of sexual assault, alleging she aimed to extort $100 million from him. The quarterback's bold legal action, submitted Monday in Collin County, stakes a claim that Victoria Shores, along with her attorneys Bethel and Yoel Zehaie, targeted him in a high-stakes extortion plot. In a statement obtained by NBC DFW, Prescott's attorney Levi G. McCathern claims there was never any nonconsensual contact, saying, "To be clear, Mr. Prescott has never engaged in any nonconsensual, sexual conduct with anyone."

Prescott, who recently embraced fatherhood, is demanding the court $1 million in relief and plans to donate any recovery to the Joyful Heart Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault. His attorney highlighted Prescott's empathy for sexual assault survivors and his unwavering belief that perpetrators should be fully punished. According to a New York Post report, the suit is a response to a January letter from Shores' legal team, which detailed an alleged incident from February 2017.

Bethel Zehaie, representing the defendant, spoke to NBC DFW, stating that the assault occurred outside XTC Cabaret in Dallas in 2017. She argued that Prescott acknowledged knowing their client and that they were together the night of the alleged assault. Zehaie said, "Not one time prior to this lawsuit being filed did he deny this incident. We stand by the truth... We are not afraid of him or his legal team." The defendant's legal team has signaled their intention to file their own criminal complaint, while the Dallas Cowboys have yet to comment.

The lawsuit alleges an attempt to leverage Prescott's public image and career success, anchoring the extortion threat on claims of emotional trauma and a supposedly shattered personal life for Shores. "She has had to live with this pain and trauma for 7 years," the letter, mentioned by the New York Post, stated. "It affected her relationship with her fiancé and her everyday existence so much that she had to attend therapy and counseling and will require future therapy and counseling."
