The Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards, which is the gold standard for airport performance metrics, bestowed the honor following a rigorous evaluation of customer service and passenger experience.
Paying tribute to DAL's drive to continuously improve the experience of millions of travelers every year, Patrick Carreno, Director of the Department of Aviation, couldn't hide his excitement when he announced, "Dallas Love Field is honored to receive the 2023 ASQ Award for Best Airport in our category." In a statement obtained by the City of Dallas, he proudly spoke of the "hard work and dedication" of the airport community that led to this prestigious recognition.
The ASQ Awards, administered by Airports Council International (ACI) World in partnership with Amadeus, prides itself on a scientific methodology that meticulously benchmarks passenger satisfaction on a global scale, reaching out to passengers directly during their travel day to capture their immediate feedback on over 30 performance indicators.
Luis Felipe de Oliveira, the Director General of ACI World, hailed the exceptional growth of the ASQ program. According to the City of Dallas, he stated the future of airports lies in the ability to consistently over-deliver an exceptional level of customer experience in the face of changing passenger demands and expectations.
Strategically situated within seven miles of Downtown Dallas, Dallas Love Field plays a pivotal economic role, historically generating over $5.6 billion in economic activity and supporting labor income of about $1.7 billion, largely due to its 28,000 local jobs footprint. After welcoming more than 17.5 million passengers in the prior year, DAL's latest accolade is an affirmation of its leadership in reshaping the airport experience.
