Dallas is celebrating the ladies this month, and it's shaping up to be quite the homage. Dallas is rolling out the red carpet for its 5th Annual Women's History Month Salute—packed with power players and a side of live tunes and grub. With the spotlight firmly on the achievements and contributions of women in the community, the City of Dallas isn't skimping on the festivities. According to the City of Dallas, there'll be guest speakers, food, and music to keep the crowd buzzing.
On the roster for the day are some high-profile names, including Deputy City Manager Kim Tolbert and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Carolyn King Arnold of District 4. They will be joined by a host of council members: Paula Blackmon, Kathy Stewart, Jaynie Schultz, and Gay Donnell Willis, among others. Not to be missed, Dallas County Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia of District 4 will also grace the event with her presence. Crafting the soundscape for the soiree will be Swan Strings' very own Jess Garland. Serving as the maestro of ceremonies is Dede Mcguire, ready to keep the program on cue and the audience engaged.
For those unable to join in person at the City Hall Lobby, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., caught up in the grind or just plain swamped, fret not—the proceedings will be live streamed over at YouTube.com/CityOfDallasCityHall for all to partake. It's a nifty fix for anyone sitting behind a desk or just lounging at home but still wants to catch the action. And let's be honest, when it comes to celebrating the strides women have made, nobody wants to miss out.
Among the entrepreneurs and thought leaders sharing the limelight will be Tiffany Mahon from Modest Muse and Diana Cross of RNDI Companies, while Tanya Ragan of Wildcat Management will undoubtedly provide some food for thought. With such a lineup, the event promises to be a powerhouse of inspiration. All the action is set to unfold at 1500 Marilla St, Dallas, TX 75201, making City Hall the place to be on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, if you're looking to rub shoulders with some of Dallas' most formidable women.
