Authorities in Dearborn are escalating their efforts to locate Arianna Burch, a 14-year-old girl with special behavioral health needs who vanished a week ago. The Dearborn Police Department has turned to the public for help after Arianna was last seen on March 20 near the 24000 block of Carlysle St., says CBS Detroit.
Arianna is described as a black girl with short, curly hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet and 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds. Her last known attire included a silver coat and a yellow backpack, "We are diligently attempting to locate this young child and ask anyone with information to reach out to us so we can safely reunite Arianna with her family," Dearborn Police Commander Timothy McHale stated in remarks carried by CBS Detroit.
The search has been ongoing for six days, with the Dearborn police expressing their relentless commitment to find Arianna. "The Dearborn Police Department has continued to exhaust all resources to try and locate Arianna over the last six days. We remain committed to doing all that we can to find this child and safely reunite her with her family," McHale said in a statement obtained by Patch. The heightened concern stems in part from Arianna's special needs, which require care and attention.
Dearborn police urge anyone with information about Burch's whereabouts to come forward immediately. They have affirmed their dedication to reuniting the young girl with her family, emphasizing the importance, of these critical leads, "It is imperative that those with information about Ariana’s whereabouts contact us immediately," McHale informed ClickOnDetroit.
