Beginning on April 1, current and former students can grab their picks, while new prospects have to hold off until April 5 to start their registration hustle. Those itching to hit the books come May 28 will have a variety of course lengths to choose from – 5, 9, and 10-week options are all on the table.
But don't dawdle, reportedly, the in-demand courses are being snapped up quicker than ice-cold lemonades on a scorcher. Students are encouraged to quickly apply and then register to beat the crush. Their enrollment figures are flexing some muscle, showing a 7% growth per semester credit hour. In the words of the bean counters from spring 2023, and a steady 9% increase from spring 2022 as of March 3. And it looks like student preferences are leaning towards dusting off the old desks and chairs, with face-to-face class enrollments swelling by 9.9%. Don’t count the net out though; online classes are boasting a solid 4% uptick as well.
In fact, the numbers are telling a story of growth across the board, with programs like Computer Science and Information Technology; Public and Social Services; Science, Engineering, and Math; and Liberal Arts all registering increases, according to a recent announcement. These range from a modest 0.3% to a more robust 7.7%, painting a pretty picture for the district's future.
