Pflugerville's industrial landscape is slated for a significant shift as EVS Metal, a leading precision metal fabricator, announces plans to relocate and expand its headquarters on the east side of the city. The move involves the construction of a new 175,000-square-foot facility within the One Thirty Business Park, located strategically at the crossroads of Texas 130 and Pecan Street, according to The Austin American Statesman.

Having served the Pflugerville community from 400 S. Heatherwilde Blvd. since 2001, the company now sees the expansion as a means to bolster its operations and enhance its service delivery. "Our new facility will allow us to scale our operations and continue delivering the high-quality, precision metal products our customers expect from us," Robert Evans, the vice president of operations, told Area Development. The future site spans 14.5 acres of land and promises to offer an advantageous logistical position close to major transportation routes, elucidating the move's significance for EVS Metal's growing business needs.

With the groundbreaking ceremony already conducted on February 28, expectations are high for the building's completion set for 2025. Upon its completion, the facility is anticipated to set off a surge in local employment, creating over 80 jobs as stated by company representatives. This push towards expanding the local workforce is a testament to EVS Metal's commitment to the community it has long been a part of.

The evolution of this industrial project was no swift feat; it took Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) a reported 18 months of strategic planning and coordination to secure EVS Metal's continued tenancy in the city. "The subdivision of this property provided the just-in-time delivery to retain this long-time partner in our community and gave EVS Metal an excellent strategic location for their growing business," Executive Director Amy Madison explained, as obtained by The Austin American Statesman. In translating this strategic relocation into a vehicle for growth, EVS Metal underscores the importance of its partnership with the PCDC and Pflugerville at large.
